shifty_gardenerChapters 396-403 of Naruto are so emotionally draining I don't think I'll be able to continue for a while. O_O I'm so used to being wary of shounen manga upping the ante on bad guys and fight scenes so much that everything in comparison loses its impact/meaning and somehow Naruto managed to do that on an emotional level, and with characters that weren't Naruto. If I were Sasuke, nothing would ever mean anything to me again. I really can't see this manga going any place that isn't ultimately tragic, especially as the only escape from the cycle of tragedy Kishimoto allows is through the death of the Naruto/Jiraya/Yahiko character. :(((((((((
In other news, it looks like the ridiculous heat-with-humidity wave (which is unheard of here, because this is a coastal desert, what is this moisture in the air) is subsiding!
