Ngl, it made me much much more sad when I finished the last Jane Austen book that I had left than when HP ended. Possibly this is because the books finished long ago, possibly it's because I'm surrounded by people that love it and talk about it openly, possibly it's because a big part of HP for me was fanon, and that will never end. But, like, Jane Austen's oeuvre (should be pluralized? not used at all?) is a thing that will never ever be added to and her writing style and protagonists make my brain feel instantly relaxed and it just really really sucks not to have any more as of a year or so ago when I finally caved and read Mansfield Park and regretted it. Why so trodden upon, Fanny?

Anyone know of any books similar to Austen that are not by a Bronte or depressing?
