Jan. 15th, 2011 06:01 pmToday I bought scary things in Mexico! (aka sketchy candy. Vanilla extract is not scary in Mexico, but rather mysteriously more potent and like a dollar for a plastic bottle three times the size of the american store dose) Despite going to a non-tourist-y inland bit, the border crossing on the way back still took an hour. So foolish. I suppose it is more foolish that I bought souvenirs, albeit edible ones, from a day trip in Mexico but nothing from my eight day New York trip. The sister's apartment did indeed smell like dogs and their roommate's weed, but it was lovely nonetheless.
Things I did in NYC:
Walked
Was cold
Walked
Wore cute peacoat (yay for practical xmas presents!)
Walked around Times Square for a few hours with one shoe while it was snowing (alone)
Walked through museums
Belatedly found the one and only Wells Fargo ATM on the East Coast
Saw The Importance for Being Earnest on Broadway *__*
Saw friends
Walked
This has lead me to believe that City Life is about is paying $10 for every meal in exchange for commuting and walking everywhere. The metro was fun, though.
As per usual brought two books and found the one I initially liked was bad and the random, friend-handed-it-to-me one was amazing. Such is life.
