I saw Wicked the other week for the first time since in New York on the 8th grade trip. We bought our tickets the day of so we were pretty far up from the stage, but Glinda was so sparkley that we didn't have a problem. (we did, however, have binoculars, but we passed them around) It was interesting how different my perception of the play was this time around - the entire focus of was skewed from the awesomeness that was the love interest and the fact that he was the scarecrow and how much I liked Elphaba to, this time, how much I liked Glinda and the epicness and til-fate-do-us-part that was their friendship. The actor of Fiore absolutely was nowhere near the calibre of the one I saw in New York (or the one in London last month, according to Sarah), so that would be one factor, but maybe I found it to be so different because I've been pondering more on friendship in the past few months than indulging in fairytale daydreams. I probably shouldn't have spaced out as much, ruminating on how bad the book would be, though. (I got halfway through one of his books once, and the writing style was v. grim, there's no other way to describe it)
Basically I just want Glinda's clothes ):

the cousin and sister are home, which means craazy stories of England and Thailand (and other lands as well), yerba mate, books and scrabble. and, you know, not getting around to calling any of my friends/going to bed after two. off to remedy that!

I have epic love for Wicked, and that is also almost 50% because I have epic love for Glinda. SHE IS SO PINK AND SPARKLY AND WHAT I JUST AIM TO BE IN LIFE. Anyway. Yes. I am seeing it on the 30th! :) Was Elphaba good? :D

she's more light blue and sparkley but makes blue 1000000000x the new pink for suresss. <3<3 and yes elphaba is preetty good. :3 just not fiore at all.
