Jul. 13th, 2009 09:50 amSo lately I've been hanging out with this girl from the Korean meetup group. We almost but don't quite have things in common - we both listen to asian music, but she likes visual kei, whereas I like boybands; she watches korean dramas (and finishes them) where I watch japanese ones; we're the same age, but I'm going to college where she's starting a band. I always feel like I'm coming off as really weird or awkward (she's the sort of quiet person that I like a lot but feel at a loss to entertain), especially during the epic getting-lost-and-driving-to-her-house-in-PB adventures and yet she still says I'm free tomorrow, did you want to do something? Idek, I'm mystified.
But anyhow! She convinced me to try out Wushu for the week or so I'm still in SD, so I went on Friday for two hours. On Saturday I was pretty sore. Yesterday I was stiff and hurt everywhere whenever I moved. But it was quite fun! It was like a cross between lessons I've taken in tennis (the teaching style and people) fencing (tiring and repetitive) and balenesian dancing (everyone but me knew what they were doing). At least it's not a sparring martial art so I'm not bringing a partner down~. :D:D
Yesterday Reiver stayed the day at our house. :) She hasn't been in the us long enough this summer for her scottish accent to fade and we watched Skins (and ohmygosh my high school experience was nothing like that, although apparently other people's was) and this hilarious comedian that I can't quite remember the name of. I just wish she hadn't come at 8 in the morning Dx
I got a random volume of DBZ from the library for kicks and, upon reading it, I remembered my epic love for Vegeta. ♥♥ all I can really do is heart madly about this, because my love for him predates practically everything aside from Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Jupiter and the color green. (although I think during the cell games there was a moment when my love for Gohan eclipsed that of his in my heart)
choosing posters for a future dorm room sucks when you suddenly realize how ridiculously picky you are :\

Date: 2009-07-15 04:55 pm (UTC)we were actually watching the third season, which had this really cute lesbian couple, although one girl kept flip flopping and freaking out as to whether or not she was gay and the other one was v. fashionable and cute and was sad a lot and apparently in the UK gays (lesbians more then gay men) are really not okay/accepted.
