shifty_gardenerWhy do I fail so much? D: I am like Shige mixed with Junno, or Sho combined with Aiba - intelligent, but also a loud dork and epic fail. If I were a quiet person I would at least be less conspicuous when flustered. DD: Oh well, at least I'm not Katie right now - she got a note from this girl that sits next to her in English she finds annoying that turned out to be a love letter. Hah. Katie's a big softie even though she snarks a lot, so she's going to feel horrible when it comes down to the rejection of "it's less because you're a girl and more because it's you."
Deann's reading Invisible Man for english and we bemoaned Emerson's fleeting appearance in the novel - he's the best character in the whole book by far, and yet his awesomeness is inversely proportional to the time you have to enjoy it. Speaking of bemoaned, I found out bemused and amused aren't the same thing at all! The connotation of bemused is kind of the same as what I thought it, thankfully - gently puzzled, something I can imagine an eccentric being whilst amusedly working out some quandary in his head. (why yes I was picturing Dumbledore for this)Behind a cup of tea. A very sun-soaked word, bemused is.
